Part of why we backed Star Citizen is because of the promise of actions having consequences. That action could even be as simple as deciding to go down to a planet to harvest some fruit... there's a lot of risk flying through space, entering an atmosphere, traversing an unknown world and environment. It only stands to reason that, among other things, injury is high on the list of probably outcomes for such a trip. It makes sense that we need to take precautions... equip ourselves properly, outfit our ships and yes - even work together to achieve what might even seem like the most mundane of goals. Because that's the real game - even the littlest action should require commitment and planning, and if something goes sidewise, then the consequence comes in. I am ecstatic to see how the injury system is shaping up. I'f I'm dumb enough or unlucky enough to find myself stranded on a planet, well, a whole new layer of gameplay comes into the picture. And I couldn't be happier.
