I mean, let's be clear. The safety margins for hangars are just broken or your artists are given the wrong measurements to making a ship. - Carrack has a 2% safety margin and needs to fold in it's turrets to even FIT (that's 2 meters...2 meters for a 100+ meter long ship) - The C1 Spirit BARELY fits and apparently needs to jam it's nose in the wall just to be able to extend the ramp And that are merely two examples of ships who BARELY fits. Hangars needs to be about 20% larger than the largest ship in it's size class to make sure there are safety margins. And no, this is not about "skill" in flying to those that want to point out something so stupid. This is about REASONABLE safety margins for the ship and the ground crew watching several hundred tonnes of spaceship that is a scant meters away from crashing into a wall, raining down debris on them or even loosing control and crashing. 900 years and humanity have lost all sense of safety margins and airport/starport safety? Stop giving your artists the measurements of a HANGAR to say how large the ship is that they can make, give them that and make sure all hangars are either 20% larger or their ships 20% smaller. EDIT: Or just up the sizes of the hangars a ship is being given. EDIT 2: So the ship sizes they have now are: S1 = snub = tiny = <shipSize x="12" y="16" z="6" S2 = small = xsmall = <shipSize x="24" y="32" z="12" S3 = medium = small = <shipSize x="48" y="48" z="16" S4 = large = medium = <shipSize x="56" y="88" z="18" S5 = large = sub-capital = large = <shipSize x="72" y="128" z="36" S6 = capital = xlarge = <shipSize x="160" y="272" z="64" So the 4 is the regular "large" while the S5 should really have it's own hangar that sits between the Xlarge and Large.
