It does not matter if the Mk I is still being "supported" with bug fixes and future systems if it's not going to be given the things that you explicitly made the Mk II to add, that are apparently important enough to totally phase out the Mk I from active sale. Suit lockers are going to be a big deal once armor restrictions are added, weapon racks and engineering terminals are already important parts of especially starter ships. I didn't buy the Aurora to have a classic car that I can take out as a novelty but hate using because it's missing important QoL things, I bought the Aurora to have the Aurora starter ship, and if the Mk II is replacing the Mk I as the Aurora starter ship, it's absurd to charge Aurora owners $15 to get the new model. Most of us bought into this game when half of these systems were barely more than half of an idea and a sales pitch, and we did so with the trust that, even if it took a while, our ships would be updated and just as good when the systems were implemented as when we were buying it. This Q&A blatantly admits that the current Aurora Mk I is sub-par and will never be updated to be up to par beyond literal new tech systems that you are forced to account for it with. Genuinely, I would rather you had just replaced the Aurora MR model with the new one and jacked up the price, or discontinued it entirely and introduced the Mk II as entirely new RSI starter. The percentage of Aurora owners who would have complained about being forced into a new model is minuscule.
