the valkirie can carry troops, can carry all sort of vehicles but you can't put a SCU of stuff on the bay?? that is bullshit. that is NOT logical. CIG is forcing artificial limitations for the sake of i don't know what. it's like a RPG where you can buy a sword that can cut hide and iron but can't harm cloth, or a war hammer that can't be used if your dwarf has blond hair. the latest ships in the illogical trend of waste of space for the sake of niche are the valkyrie and the apollo... the apollo is wasting the back of the ship with a "waiting room", while the valkyrie has a ship storage vehicle capable of transporting almost any kind of vehicle but can't hold a single crate... there is no single vehicle in the militia that can transport other vehicles but can't transport that weight in other stuff. none. what CIG should do is look at how real life deal with this. why transport companies use trucks for moving cargo between cities and vans for door delivery? because efficiency. trucks can carry more cargo per dollar than vans. but then why not use large trucks to do deliveries? because below certain amount of cargo vans have better efficiency. the massive engine of the trucks makes them waste fuel at every traffic light, and are difficult to maneuver on streets. CIG should use the same logic on their ships. valkyries should be able to trasport cargo along with or instead of vehicles, with the same SCU limitations of any cargo hauler. the difference is that it's not eficient to run them as cargo haulers because their military specs, armor and fuel requirements makes them too expensive to use them as hull A variants. same with apollos, they should be able to haul some cargo (for example medical supplies given the role they are forced to do) at least as much as an aurora, but given the maintenance requirements of the apollo compared to the humble aurora it's not ideal to use as an alternative for cargo hauling. idk the state of refueling and repairing costs in PU but in the long run ships will have different maintenance costs, and players will niche ships on their own based on those parameters, so why should CIG cap a ship's possibility artificially and without other logic than "because niche"? addenum: look at the level of bullshit the basic cargo limitation is that if you want to store basic cargo in a room limited to vehicle storage (that is essentially wheeled cargo) you are forced to store it INSIDE the vehicle's cargo hold to be secured, adding useless complexity for the simple task of puting a freaking box in a cargo hold. remember, a vehicle storage room is just a cargo hold upgraded to support vehicles, the same way a fridge is just a box upgraded to keep the content cool
