TL;DR I (and many others) are very disappointed in you CIG. As we all know, CIG's recent decision to halt work on the BMM is mind-boggling. Many, if not most BMM owners, have owned this ship for years. I myself got it in 2013. That means I, and many others, have been waiting since 2013. I understand CIG's reasoning for needing to create smaller ships for income. I really do. However, you need to address the elephant in the room. You know it, i know it, we all know it. You have a massive backlog of large (and larger) ships. It continues to grow longer every year. I will not tell you how to fix this, as that is what we the backers have paid you to figure out. As you know, CIG space games are a dime a dozen right now. (a vast majority of them) do not offer large ships. They are all single seat fighters, freighters, miners, etc. Cig, you have a massive boon to aid you. You have already sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth of absolutely stunning larger, and capital ships. something most other games have not done before. However. only implementing 1 or 2 out of a list of dozens is completely unacceptable. both from a backer point of view, and a financial point of view. People saw the huge ships in the commercials. They saw the ads. they had a dream. They pledged for a BMM or (insert your ship here) that was a large, or capital ship because they dreamed of flying it, having fun with other people. going on adventures. You continue to use SQ42 as an excuse to why nothing in the PU gets done. Then turn around and tell us you can't tell us anything about it to even prove it exists to us. You can not continue to run a project on selling dreams without ever delivering those dreams. Your latest fumble by telling us you're shelving the BMM again, so that you can focus on smaller ships for more income, is a giant red flag. It is even more worrisome when you consider the entire backlog besides the BMM. I get that you may not be able to answer all of these issues immediately, CIG. But i believe you are in dire need of a genuine, heartfelt PR release explaining what the problems are, and what you intend to do to fix them. “we shelved it because it was hard” is just not an acceptable excuse any more after 9 years and god knows how many of this ship sold. Consumer confidence is quickly dwindling, CIG. ignore, lock, delete, and sticking your head in the sand is no longer going to work. Please give us a proper response. i don't care if it's a thread on spectrum, or an actual video.
