Everything is my peronal opinion: With this year CitizenCon, CIG has unfortunately lost me for good. I have to admit, even though I was quite critical of CIG, CitizenCon 2023 really hyped me up. Sadly, all of that enthusiasm dissolved into stability problems and delays. Still, I approached this year's CitizenCon with optimism. However, for me personally, with the way I play, it was one disappointment after another. 1. Unstable presenation of SQ42 and late release date. When CIG is, after all these years, not capable of delivering a controlled 1 hour presentation in a stable way, I will not believe even the very disappointing late relese day or a stable product then. The game looked worse for me than one year ago (greenish) and the gameplay looked outdated. 2. All presentations were dreams not actions. Dreams are easy to tell, actions are hard too archieve. 3. The last presentation felt that SC is now officially a Eve Online clone with space legs. Way too much PvP for me. 4. No endgame content for solo players was shown. Yes, SC is an MMO but this is not the same as forced teamplay. I love to live in a vivid world without forced teamplay. 5. The next upcoming worlds seem to be very uninteresting. Where are the wonderful jungle worlds they showed in the Genesis Demo. Not in the next 5 years I think 6. No Idris for another 3 years. 7. No information about current critical points like MM or nerfs, no Q&A panel. 8. (very importend edit): nothing about NPC's The only positive point was the Polaris is coming this year. Don't misunderstand me. I will still play SC as long as fun holds but my expectation is below zero.
