From ganking, and griefing to being a proper pirate and everything in between - its way too easy and relatively punishment free to be a hard line criminal or simply a ganking idiot in SC. There is little defence against this and worse, almost no disincentivising, in fact the game rewards it. Being realistic about this, the game is intolerably and stupidly imbalanced in the favour of criminal activity. Punishment needs to be harsh and severe. This is in Stanton by the way, not Pyro. Monitoring AI should be put in place for this - so that mistakes are either not punished or only punished very lightly. So, minding my own business today, farming some bunkers, collecting gear and hopefully amassing rep and monies. On the last bunker I did today (last because of this happening), heard some explosions over head, so went back up the elevator to find a a Connie pummelling my ship as it went into hard death and exploded. The Connie then hovered and stole (must of been a comrade onboard manning the tractor) the contents as I had crates of gear in there from the ~4+ hours of farming. No idea what they ended up with, but imagine it was most if not all of what I had farmed. I did press charges against this shithead criminal - but there is no record of what he was charged with or indeed who the player was. Why is this not recorded in the journal or at least 'somewhere'. I want to make a list of these shitheads - so if I happen across them in future, I can at least pay them back in kind. That is not against ToS as far as I am concerned, further (unfortunately) the likelihood is I would never bump into them anyway. Finally - a proper rep system cannot come soon enough but I fear that is still many years away given CIG's snail like progress.
