'Calling all devs' presents unarmed miner vs military fighters as a PVP encounter that he personally thinks is 'heart pumping' fun for the miner? I think that is more heart attack for quiet miner player than fun gameplay! PVP to me is when you got a gun, I got a gun, when you got armor, I got armor! When you shoot, I can shoot back with a reasonable chance of winning or at least escaping that encounter. Jared Huckabee likens it to WOW pvp gameplay in that same video. I play wow, and when I go mining in wow, I do not take off my armor, set aside my weapons and put on lead weights on my feet! When a PK shows up to Grief me while I am mining in wow I can instantly return fire using all my skills and abilities or choose to run with my escape skills. In Star Citizen when I go mining I do not have armor, shields, weapons, speed or stealth anywhere near the levels of my opponent. This is by definition not Player vs Player, but Griefing. Not 5 encounters, not 2 encounters, but 1 encounter, it is still griefing! I want to ask that pair, where is the RISK for the attacker in their gameplay, won't the so-called Pirate (griefer) be bored while attacking its target that has no chance to get away, hide or fight back, totally boring! But oh so lucrative.
