The hype and disdain over engineering is going to reach a fever pitch real soon here so before it gets out of hand, I want to thank the team that has been working on this for years. Thorsten- Thank you! Engineering team members and all who helped- Thank you! (If I knew everyone on the team, I would list you all.) There is a lot of speculation about how this addition to the game will play out when it comes to the PU. I am in the camp that is excited for this feature update :slightly_smiling_face: Some people may not realize it yet, but this change will make your ship, no matter what size, feel like a real spaceship. As of this moment these ships have been our home, our weapon, our enemy and our best friend. Engineering will give us a deeper understanding and a realistic expectation of these meticulously designed ships, bringing us closer to the ones we love or pushing us further away from the ones we thought were meant for us. Solo or crewed, this change brings us deeper into the workings of these ships adding complexity, yes, but also adding depth. Citizens have been saying for some time that Star Citizen has little depth, it is just a beautiful screen shot simulator with nothing going on. Now we see the depth that this feature brings and some are scared, rightfully so in some cases, but that feeling is misplaced. I believe it's the fear of not knowing. In closing, I see this as a major steppingstone to a deeper, richer and more exciting universe. o7 CIG
