I understand there are limitations on what can currently be done for missions.... but the growing trend toward locking everything behind ludicrous grinds is getting old fast. Having a long, varied and interesting sets of missions (AKA an adventure) is cool. Then reward mean something, are are tied to a memorable experience. Some grind, certainly, is going to be in the game - it's unavoidable. Rewarding teamwork is excellent - but most mission rewards don't these days - unless everyone pools everything so one person can get something.... which seems unsustainable given assets in game aren't really shareable. The new limited-time Xenothreat mission sequences looks like you'll have to do about 5000 reps to complete the the chain for full rewards. I know this is just a WIP, but please rethink these things. Rewarding perseverance is fine. But essentially where saying some stuff will only be accessible to people who don't have jobs and/or families.... With crafting as an example, I expect grind in collection of resources, etc. But there are currently exactly two blueprints I want to get to actually build. 1. P8-AR 2.. (tentantively) the FR-76 (xenothreat) I'm steadily working on the blueprints for the P8. But it's soooooooo boring. I've collected thousands of fangs, horns and sunset berries..... which is boring. Then transporting them endlessly to the drop offs at opposite ends of the system for each batch is boring. I''ve been working on this for a couple of weeks. I'm not event at the level for the Yormundi eye turn-in, at which point I well need to go on that Yormundi hunt like 8-16 times (assuming it works) to finally unlock all the garbage armour and to the P8 blueprint. That's assuming I bogart all the Yormundi eyes and my friend are generous.... Repetition, beyond a certain point, is really just tedious. Taking a long time to do something strategically, to accomplish something difficult is fun. Grinding endlessly is not. The most epic thing in this game is the Apex Valakkar fight, and the Hathor site - but doing those once or even three times gets you almost nothing. How about bluepring unlocks for the eopic events themselves? I just don't get it. The best event in this game ever was the first Xenothreat mission where you had to have people doing different things in coordination. Fighters defending boarding teams and cargo extractors, leading to a big group battle. Everyone was excited. The mission was super satisfying. People worked together. It had a narrative arc. You had to do it a few times to max out rewards, but it was so much fun you wanted to anyway. Now its: do endless repetitions of mission almost Identical to standard mission, and to the same boss fight so many times It seems routine rather than epic.... Make gameplay, not time sinks. I know some people like grinding and speed running. I know there has to be stuff for them, but it shouldn't be in time-limited events. On the limits of Data: many people will do this grind to get the FR-76 unlock. This will tell you people like and want the FR-76, it will not tell you how many of the people actually like the gameplay to get it. Stop misunderstanding data.
