Clearing The Air arrives in the Persistent Universe as a system-wide crisis centered on Levski, Nyx. What began as a wave of unexplained illness, now known as the People’s Ailment, has escalated into a full emergency spreading across Nyx and Stanton. The source has been traced back to a dangerous new mold strain growing in faulty air filters supplied by Gyson Inc, discovered after the death of maintenance engineer Samuel Molina. As you push back the outbreak and support the effort to stabilize Levski, completing missions will unlock milestone activities that mark major progress in the crisis. Whether you are flying support, moving critical supplies, or taking the fight directly to hostile forces, every job plays a role in Clearing The Air: There is something for everyone! We’ve put together answers to your most common questions about the event. ▲ What is the "Clearing The Air" event? Clearing The Air is a limited-time event running from January 28 to March 17, 2026, responding to a health crisis in Levski. A deadly fungal infection known as the "Molina Mold" has been spreading through the station due to faulty air filters, causing a disease called the People's Ailment with symptoms including coughing, fatigue, chest pain, and bone lesions. With the death toll rising into double digits and spreading to the Stanton system, the UEE has mobilized contractors to help contain the outbreak. You'll participate in relief efforts by transporting medical supplies, delivering antifungal treatments, gathering resources to manufacture replacement filters and cures, and defending supply convoys from criminal gangs like the Moraine, who are exploiting the crisis. The event features multiple mission types across Transport, Defense, and Collection divisions, with all phases available from day one. Your contributions will earn points toward both the overall goal and division-specific rewards. ▲ How can I accept the new mission? Clearing The Air missions are available through your mobiGlas's contracts, and multiple mission providers are organized into three divisions: Transport Division - Accept hauling and courier contracts from: Ling Family Hauling for mold treatments Covalex and FTL Courier for cryopods, ventilation filters, medical supplies, and samples Collection Division - Find resource gathering missions from the corporations to manufacture filters and cures: Shubin Interstellar from Hurston Rayari Inc from microTech Defense Division - Take combat contracts from: Eckhart for eliminating Moraine gang targets and recovering stolen cargo Citizens For Prosperity for escort and ship defense missions, protecting relief supply convoys As you complete missions within each division, you'll unlock special milestone activities after reaching certain thresholds. ▲ Can I participate in multiple divisions, or do I need to choose one? You can participate in all three divisions (Transport, Defense, and Collection) and earn rewards from each! Your mission completion counts toward both the overall progress and your divisions' progress. ▲ What are Milestone activities, and how do I unlock them? Milestone activities are special, hard difficulty missions that citizens can access once enough progress has been made in individual divisions. These missions are only playable once, boosting your progress and delivering more unique narrative scenarios: Transport: Pick up critical commodities needed to address the situation in Levski. Collection: Source and deliver commodities to support the initiative, and help find a solution to the Molina Mold. Defense: Protect the Alliance Aid ships against the Moraine gang in Nyx, then transport their valuable cargo back to Stanton for study. ▲ What kind of rewards can I earn? Rewards are earned by accumulating points through mission completion, tracked across both overall progress and individual divisions: Overall Rewards: 30% - CureLife Light Medical Armor + MaxLift AA Support Tractor Beam 70% - Asgard Ship Paint 90% - Apollo Medivac Ship Paint 100% - Perseus Ship Paint + ParaMed "AA Support" Medical Device + Item Fabricator RediMake "Alliance Aid" Note: The Item Fabricator RediMake “Alliance Aid” will only be available once the Crafting feature releases in a future patch. This skin showcases the efforts you made during the Clearing the Air event, and its final design may vary as a work in progress item. Quick update on our previous note: As you know, the first iteration of Crafting will be launching with Alpha 4.7, but the Item Fabricator RediMake "Alliance Aid" skin will be coming in Alpha 4.8. You'll be traveling between multiple systems to deliver supplies, with most relief efforts coordinating from Stanton to help the affected population in Levski, Nyx. You can accept the event's missions from anywhere. ▲ Do I need a specific ship or equipment to participate? No specific ship is required! The event offers many missions across different scales and playstyles: Small-grade missions, for starter ships and solo players mostly Medium and supply-grade missions, for mid-size ships Bulk-grade missions, for large haulers and teams specifically organized (Or very determined individuals!) Combat missions are scaled to easy, medium, and hard difficulties. Choose missions that match your ship's capabilities and your preferred gameplay style. ▲ Who are The Moraine, and why are they involved? The Moraine is a loyal syndicate of thieves and smugglers that operates a highly profitable smuggling ring across Nyx's many jump points. Since a weakened People's Alliance would only strengthen their own hold on the system, they're eager to exploit the Molina Mold crisis by hijacking delivery ships carrying medical supplies and filters, and holding mold-infected victims in cryopods for ransom. Alliance Aid Defense Division contracts specifically counter these criminal activities by protecting convoys, eliminating gang targets, and recovering stolen supplies before more lives are lost.
