Ever since I pledged for, Star Citizen, I have always had it on my PC and continued to play it since then, around 11 years. Sure I took very little breaks but have always enjoyed It, especially at the start. As time passed I have seen many changes and lots of development time wasted. The fact that 14+ years has passed now, and it's still a broken mess You are still making record funding and let's face facts It's not because people play the game, and it's amazing, they do the same as most of us do, we love SCIFI and buy into the dream. A week ago I uninstalled It. I was in the Reclaimer and did a post of It on here and to find out that many had the same opinion that it's just a shame that glories beast has been neglected for as long as It has. I was In it and thought, no more. I suppose even long term backers have their limits. I'm not going to hate on the project as before this feeling I loved It, but 4.8 was In many cases a disaster in Star Citizen history, at that point. I've never played any other space sim, but after I took, SC off my PC I had a look on Steam and bought Into Space engineers 2. Accepting It's an early alpha, and it has bugs I went through with the purchase. I was not expecting much but right away I was surprised. The hand drill was a pneumatic drill, how I savage was an angle grinder then of course the comparisons start. Then I fought after 14 years and Star Citizen Is still using beams to do everything. The ores in Space engineers you have to dig for the ore's as they are not just put onto the surface for us. The angle grinder was so satisfying, and then I would remember trying to use the beam to try and get some components from a mercury star runner or some other ships that were just as frustrating to get components out of. And then looking around when I got to planet side In Space engineers 2 the planets, they looked amazing. Compared to Star Citizens bare and very flat planets. You can really tell where Star Citizen really has failed on so many levels when we do slight comparisons. Even when you drill down, and after you finished and make your way back up, the last maybe 5 feet Is soil and below that Is the bedrock, and you can drill anywhere. I remember landing my Polaris that I pledge for years ago and landing It on top of this large bush, and my Polaris didn't crush the bush that huge ship turned on it side and the bush survived. After making my first ship In Space Engineers 2 and crashing It the ground I left a huge crater. After that I made a ground vehicle and came up to a tree and with my experience In Star Citizen I thought I was just going to come to a sudden stop, but to my surprise the tree fell, and I carried on over It. We also have the ability to paint out stuff when we unlock the paint gun, In Star Citizen, and they have been crafty and sell the paints. I don't regret the small of money I gave to support this project or the time I spent playing or testing it, but when you think that the overall practise of Star Citizen In the length It has been going has not really changed, and by that I mean you do missions and buy a ship, you use that ship then to do missions to make more money to buy a bigger ship and so until there Is a wipe, and we do It all again. And It was at that point while I was In the reclaimer I just had enough. Even when I look at Youtube and the content creators that cover Star Citizen are really struggling to come up with material. I seen the latest one from your boy, bored gamer and If I remember the title It says something like, "Base building will be amazing." I could not help but laugh. I laughed because this year for gameplay has been a total let down and then seeing the YouTubers struggling to make content was just as funny. I have dismissed the fact when people mentioned 14+ years of development but when you actually stop to think about It, that's an incredible amount of time. Comparing some of the features I have used here and when you think about the timescale and funding of each game, It's easy to see how much time Is really being wasted.
