So I seen a few try to put down anyone in anything but fighting fussing that cig hyper focused on fighting for such a long time now. A reoccurring comment to people is to just hire an escort. I would highly recommend you to do this over a long play through. 1. Finding someone who wants to stick around for several hours or even half an hour while they basically do nothing is a pain in itself. Keep in mind, most of what the security does is nothing. Unless if there is a problem, there honestly isn't anything to do. And scouting gets boring fast. 2. Finding someone that won't just bail out during the first sign of trouble or when things get a bit much is a thing. 3. Finding someone that is trustworthy is a nightmare. 4. Sometimes there is no person up for it at the time. And I can keep going. Now if we had npc crew or escorts. Or maybe whatever system to hire them a was in the game but players can use it. That's one thing. But we don't have any of that. And other than the trademark coming soon, we have no answer when or really in what way that is coming. Side note I've seen some fuss about multi crew ships like the mole, most are solo. We'll same there and virtually any other type of multi crew ship that doesn't see a lot of fighting. Like with a salvage ship it is pretty hard to find someone who wants to stack boxes the entire time. Or with mining and salvage it's hard to find someone who wants to shoot at rocks or wrecks for hours. All which likely will be fixed when we get npc crew or the features around that and players can hire other players through that.
