It sucked! And it needs a major rework. No automated integrated fire extinguishers on space ships? Hello? No possibility to switch to a backup fuse from the engineering station? Redundancy? Hello? Engineering should mainly be done from the engineering station. Not by turret gunners or other crew running around confused while neglecting their real tasks. Nobody thought about force reactions, and the feasibility of crew running around while a ship is heavily maneuvering during combat. Engineering should be a console job. Repair gameplay should be something different and something that is done after the battle is over. And when out of battle it can obvioiusly be a shared task among the entire crew as necessary. This is not sea of thieves, and our ship models does not support sea of thieves gameplay. In SoT every crew member can do every task and don't have to go through 30 seconds seat animations to perform a simple action, and the SoT ships are tiny. You can steer, fire a gun, empty a bucket of water, patch a hole in the same time that it takes to get out of your seat in Star Citizen. This kind of gameplay is simply not compatible with Star Citizen. It was doomed to fail, and it's great that it has been removed. Hopefully it will not come back in the form that was shown in the AC demo.
