Just wanted to remind you and put this out here that your community abhors Wikelo. No amount of shiny skin, meta loadout, forklift with .50 cal's will change that. Wikelo sucks from a gameplay perspective. Adding more to him will never change that. He will soon be the only way to get an Idris and to add insult to injury, the thing we've been told is impossible (locking ships behind reputation to acquire) is apparently very possible. To engage with Wikelo you near require a group to go get X rare material from a PVP arena loaded with PVE NPC's that are all hostile and is easily camped. Then you have to get the pristine version of X material which means you'll have to run the "event" with your group 3 times over because you actually got only gross grade 2 items instead. After that you have to collect whatever other RNG items you need throughout the verse. Then load all of these very difficult to acquire materials on a ship, hope nothing bad happens, and fly to an emporium where you have to load it onto a goddamned elevator which might just eat some of the resources. Lucky you though, it actually worked and now you have the ship you wanted, rest of your group be damned because they got fuckall from any of this. Next patch drops and what's this? Your ship you spent hours of not only your time, but all your friends time grinding out is just gone from your ASOP list entirely. Reduced to atoms. Great. Thanks CIG. I feel like I'm beating a dead horse but my god, CIG started it. They're the ones who killed the horse in the first place. Adding more things to the part of the game that your playerbase HATES won't change it. It won't suddenly be good because it got a new ship. It won't suddenly make people like him or his mechanics because now we can get an armor set with bones on it. Wikelo sucks from a game design perspective. There are options to improve him but CIG appears to be allergic to any of them as they won't force players into direct combat for a starter mining ship. I'll repeat it for as long as I have to for something, anything to change. Wikelo sucks. Xenothreat if you're listening, kill this Banu. This one deserves it.
