A lot of players truly do not understand how widespread exploits and duping have become within the current Star Citizen economy. Unless you are deeply involved in trading networks, Discord communities, or high-volume market activity, most players will never see what is really happening behind the scenes. Right now, there are multiple active exploits affecting the economy and item market, including: Armor duping Duping of handheld items Refining loop/endless refining exploits Quality-retaining ore exploits Mission reroll exploits Weapon and backpack stat duping RCMB and Fang duping Helming duping Mass duplication of identical “statted” weapons and gear Pants Item dupe (New) 5 cards around hip Dupe (new) Favors dupe isolated cause it done with a different method then the item dupe. (New) This is no longer speculation. Legitimate traders are watching markets get flooded with duplicated items, identical stat rolls, and unrealistic quantities of high-quality materials, such as repeated 1000Q ore listings that simply do not make sense through normal gameplay. The reality is that many top traders already know these exploits exist. Some use them for personal gain, while others try to bring awareness to the issue by reporting them through the Issue Council, documenting them privately, or even making videos public in hopes that CIG is finally forced to respond. Unfortunately, it often feels like major action only happens once issues become impossible to ignore publicly. Whether that means releasing videos or spreading awareness, it should not have to be this way. But from my experience, CIG tends to respond only once issues become mainstream enough that they can no longer be ignored. This post is not about encouraging exploits. It is about acknowledging that the integrity of the economy is being damaged right now, and legitimate players and traders are the ones feeling the effects the most. I understand some people may disagree with making these conversations public, but awareness is important. Ignoring the issue does not make it disappear. The longer these exploits remain active, the worse the long-term damage becomes for trading, progression, and the overall player experience. I’ve chosen to speak publicly about this because I care deeply about Star Citizen and the trading community. I know putting attention on these problems can put my own reputation and even my account at risk, but I would rather take that risk than stay silent while the economy continues to spiral further out of control. If you are aware of exploits or suspicious market activity, report it responsibly through the proper channels. The community and the game are better off when these issues are addressed instead of ignored.
