Not sure if this has been discussed or if there is any sort of explanation, so please forgive me if so. If my extremely rough calculations are correct, when traveling at top speed in Nav and you switch to SCM, you should be experiencing anywhere from 100-200gs depending on the ships top speed and time of deceleration from Nav to SCM. At those gs wouldn’t we die instantly? Its odd that we don’t even experience any type of blackout. Has there been an explanation from the devs as to what makes this deceleration survivable for pilots? I admit my calculations are very rough, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. Edit: Many people are attempting to explain this issue away by claiming that we are flying inside of a quantum bubble while in Nav mode. There are two major factors that contradict this explanation. 1. Your ship is capable of pulling more Gs as a result of speed and maneuvering while in Nav, when compared to SCM. 2. You experience blackouts in Nav mode as a result of certain maneuvers (hitting/surpassing your g threshold) Edit 2: If this quantum bubble is somehow protecting the ship and pilot from outside forces, wouldn’t it also prevent the ships thrusters from applying force outside of the bubble?
