With the approach of physicalized inventory and medical gameplay coming in 3.15, I am starting to think about how they plan to balance incovenience with fun. It seems, from what I gather, there is no intent to balance it whatsoever, and we will just have to deal with it as a part of life. Right now, the size of the game is small enough that it does not really matter too much. You left your mining ship at port olisar and you are at area 18? No worries, go get it in 10-15 minutes. However, other systems, say for example, pyro and nyx, and you head out to nyx, you will need to take your mining ship, or else spend an hour or more traveling across 3 systems to get it. That's just on the ship side. There's also the player side to consider. Solo gameplay will be basically impossible once medical gameplay comes in, unless you are very very careful. There is also a benefit to using larger ships, as they will be able to stock pile more supplies, ammo, guns, etc. You'll also need multiples of every armor, weapon, multitool, etc, in case you lose them or forget them somewhere. So overall, it just seems the game will be becoming far more cumbersome and inconvenient in the coming patch. Will this trade off be worth it for the "danger" it provides? How will they balance this overall in order to ensure it's fun?
