Squadron 42 is still officially targeting a 2026 release. However, today is August 1, and we still do not have a release date or much public information about the planned launch. CIG has stated that it does not intend to run a long marketing campaign, so the lack of one does not necessarily confirm a delay. Still, considering Squadron 42’s history of missed release windows, I think another delay is a reasonable possibility to discuss. How would you feel if CIG announced that Squadron 42 would not release in 2026? Would you be disappointed but willing to wait if the additional time genuinely improved the game? Would another delay significantly damage your trust in CIG and its release estimates? Or have you already reached the point where release targets no longer affect your expectations? I’m deliberately keeping my own opinion out of the opening post because I don’t want to influence the answers. I’m genuinely interested in hearing how people would react.
