I don't get it. Talk about a terrible display of capability and "improvement" for people showing up or returning for DefenseCon. Also apparently everyone is supposed to be a stay at home gamer/streamer just to play the alpha that "isn't" a game, and that's assuming that its working. Or hey, maybe by the time the game comes out, they'll have crowdfunded enough revenue that they'll pay us to stay home and play it all day, every day. - Ruin mining and several other things that should easily be solo for when you don't have friends on and rather force/gate keep with group play? Check - "Fix" mining to where it's barely noticeable, and when you do find something you get back to refine it and it disappears? Check - Slow down salvage to an excruciating pace? Check - Continue to make the grind for everything progressively slower and more obnoxious and excessively redundant? Check - Rush 4.8? Check 3.18 (2) - Rush Ironclad? Check - Force insurance system nobody wanted, especially at this point? Check - Still randomly exploding in your ship that now has to be insured? Check - Working insurance that lets you keep paid paints? Good luck - Missions working? Good luck - A grind that you can't grind to play the newly implemented features? Check - Enjoyable experience? Good luck - Extensive list of additional items that belong here? Check But hey, 4.8, Strike Groups, DefenseCon, Ironclad, M80, Tiburon, Starlight, yay. It's no wonder they pulled the plug on free fly, guarantee to lose players that haven't been around for the good, cause this is atrocious. Don't get me wrong, when they get it right, they get it right, but they have gotten it so wrong lately. It would be nice to be able to do more than play bunkers, space truck, or be forced into group play, maybe have time to enjoy the game rather than have to grind it to death, and maybe spend some more time fixing before implementing. Hands down the worst experience I've had since 3.18. Don't know if I would say it's as bad, but it's in second place. A lot of people seem to think that there might be a S42 announcement coming, I'm no particularly convinced. However, I will say, hopefully they can deliver something, because otherwise I have a feeling we're going to see a huge loss of this supposed mass influx of players. I've defended this game on several occasions to the nay-sayers, as recently as just last week, but definitely NOT crushing it right now, and from what I've seen, plenty of other people are not fans of your current decisions either.
