The above image was taken after my team won one of the Bad Token Racing Club death races. You know what would have made my outfit and win even better!? The new Star Kitten Helmets!! Anyway, I just wanted to thank CIG for finally bringing these out despite often loud voices against anything slightly cute. There are those of us who like interesting, colorful, unique and YES CUTE items in a game that is supposed to feel like a living breathing universe. When Star Kitten was first introduced back in 2017 I was very happy to receive my t-shirt and was hoping to obtain the Dragonfly. Sadly I wasn't able to but happy for others who were awarded theirs. Until these helmets that has been the ONLY Star Kitten anything in game. Now can we please wear the referral t-shirt too? And beyond that, CIG please ignore the often very loud voices opposing anything cute in the game. I often feel like they have an effect on the game's fashion choices given the lack of anything cute clothing wise. In order for this to feel like a living breathing universe there should be stuff for all tastes. Star Citizen's locations in lore are diverse and run the gamut from dusty dystopian boomtowns gone bust to amazing high tech futuristic cities and party capitals. Stylistically if something exists IRL I would like to see similar fashion in the game as it makes it feel more tangible. J. Lee is a wonderfully talented character artist and I hope more of his concepts make their way past the 3D design stage and into the game. More stylistic and fashion diversity in an MMO that strives to feel like a real living, breathing universe, is not just a nice thing to have but integral to the universe feeling believable, lived in and yes, immersive. Cute stuff is a part of that and is currently underrepresented in Star Citizen fashion. These exist IRL of course... In short CIG, be brave, be bold and don't be afraid to be cute! Those of us who want this stuff aren't always the loudest but there are a lot of us who care and want more.
