I keep coming across threads or comments here that are directed against solo players. Solo players supposedly shouldn’t be allowed to fly big ships. Solo players supposedly shouldn’t be able to participate in bigger events. Solo players should just go find another game. And now I’m asking: why? Yes, SC is an MMO, BUT take a look at other MMOs… They are becoming more and more solo-friendly and offering solo players more content so that they too can fully enjoy the game. Especially when it comes to group content, there are almost always solo-friendly alternatives. And the community doesn’t get upset about that. But here? Why isn’t the same fun granted to solo players? CIG is currently designing events in such an awkward way that solo players don’t even need to bother participating… But not because, for example, collecting takes too long. No… it’s because of the limited locations. These are then taken over by groups or orgs. If someone suggests giving solo players alternative ways to get the mats, people start complaining right away, saying we should just find a group and that it shouldn’t be doable solo. Same thing with ships. Take the Polaris for example. Why not just let people fly their Polaris if they want to… I’m not bothering anyone when I’m doing my bounties in a Polaris… and honestly, it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time. :slightly_smiling_face: And why does it bother you if I gather my stuff solo, even if it takes me longer? YOU can still do everything as a group. Sometimes I feel like many people think: "I have to be in a group for this, so you shouldn’t be able to do it solo easily." But I thought you liked playing in a group? Then there's the anger toward PvE servers or private servers. Why does it bother you if I go on a private server and have my fun there, gather my mats, etc.? You can still go on the open servers and play in groups. The game isn’t even competitive. So who cares who has how many ships or how many credits? I find it sad that the community has become so unwilling to let others enjoy the game in their own way… It used to be said that everyone can do everything in SC and play however they want… But right now, solo players are getting more and more left out—especially when it comes to events. I’d also love to check out those Banu quests, but I just don’t have time for group play because of my kids... And no... I love SC and I don't want to play another game... I also find it sad that Star CITIZEN has become more like Star WARRIOR… I often walk around Orison in civilian clothes, but all I see are people in heavy armor and armed to the teeth… I really hope SC doesn’t become a pure (PvP) war game that can only be enjoyed in groups...
