Reddit labeled this concern "Drama." It's not drama for those of us anti-racist, it's not drama for those of us black. It is a cultural question. Culture in that sociological definition, one of "daily ways of life." What kinds of daily ways of life will CIG assert here? Ones where we, due to some calculus, tolerate racists among us (in part because the presentation of the racism didn't tick the "right" box or happen in the "right" way)? Or one where we call a thing a thing, and stand where we choose to stand. I just want to know what kind of community this is...I'm interested. Truly. I don't tend to spend thousands of dollars on stimuli and phenomena that are likely to produce allostatic load for me...that's a rod for my own back. And I'm not asking for a refund pathway or any of that shit. I just want to know, today, what kind of community and culture CIG is actively building and owning. I'd like one where we call a thing a thing when we see it, and possess zero tolerance for racism. I have no nuance for racists, racist submissions or other racist behavior. I'd prefer to stomp the dogshit out of it as cultural content. But that's me. CIG...who are you? Just let me know.
