Too late to heal the paranoia. Every player I encounter aside from stations keep unloading their magazines while I keep declaring on voice comms that I am friendly as I franticly run behind covers trying to dodge their bullets, hoping they will listen but its like trying to talk to the zombies at World War Z. Only two players so far has seen reason for the past few weeks and one of them was just fed up with chasing me around a desk and left. Sounds funny but its actually quite sad really. This is not in Pyro, I am not talking about contested zones either. This is on distribution centers, even in bunkers (twice) or any non armistace zone location that puts 2 players in same space, however even on Hathor locations people should be able to just consider not pulling the trigger, maybe trust the other person enough and go on about their business. Most likely these people I personally keep running into are not pirates. pvpers or griefers, they are just random guys or groups playing it safe. When you spesifically point out on ISC about how the new location puts players against each other, nobody will second guess that anybody who is not in your group is the enemy. Because of that advertisement almost nobody cares about getting a crime stat in Stanton anymore, and the trust between players is disappearing for measly loot. If this is how CIG wanted it to be, why not just remove the comm arrays all together then? Is this perhaps because we are so indistinguishable from NPC's at first glance? (which actually is a good thing by itself and I suggest everyone to wear something other than bunker armors to avoid such incidents). Or has the game dynamics changed everyone for the worse? All I know is that this is not what CR envisioned. Maybe I am too old school but I still keep declaring that I am friendly even before players realise that I am there. At one point I may also say just f it, give in to the barbarian in me and shoot on sight but come on guys, that can't be how things are supposed to be. I feel like I need to declare here that this is not a pvp-pve post before people come rushing throwing the same advices and mockeries. I don't mind pvp, I am usually ready for it even when I am not actively looking for it, and I don't whine when I get killed. This is about how the game is molding its players into paranoid goblins. I refuse to turn into one but the game is trying really hard lately.
