The Star Citizen I fell in love with feels like it’s slipping away. The old skybox. The flight model that made ships exciting to fly. The performance many of us expected when we backed the project. The simple joy of logging in with friends and just flying for hours. I haven’t truly enjoyed playing since Pyro released. It stopped being fun for me. Master Modes just isn’t it for me. Instead of reshaping the core flight model, I’d rather see focus go into fixing the engine, improving performance, reducing desync, and making the game feel smooth and reliable again. This is a game, not real life. Fun should come first. As a Concierge backer and an Evo tester, I believed in this project. Part of me still does. But it’s becoming harder and harder to enjoy something I used to love. Whatever happened to private servers? Weren’t they supposed to let players host their own spaces, build communities, and create their own experiences when the main vision didn’t fit everyone? I still have a copy of 3.22.0a if you need it, CIG! That’s the version I’d rather be playing. I don’t want to give up on Star Citizen, but you’re giving me every reason to. Give us the fun back, or the community will engineer it ourselves. We always have.
