Something I just can’t wrap my head around: the Polaris is a dedicated torpedo-focused capital ship, yet it requires a whole separate seat just to fire its torpedoes — and the pilot can’t launch them directly. Meanwhile, the Idris, which isn’t even primarily a torpedo platform, supposedly lets the pilot fire larger size 12 torpedoes on their own. How does that make sense? The Polaris has smaller torpedoes, less flexibility, and on top of that, the torpedoes themselves are currently so slow and underwhelming that it hardly feels worth having someone in that torpedo seat at all. Am I tweaking for thinking this is completely backwards?
