Who thought this insurance change was a good idea? Honestly, it feels incredibly poorly thought out. I already lost the ability to use my Ironclad properly because I couldn’t dock again — the command module wouldn’t target the ship correctly. And now I’m forced to claim the ship back without torpedoes because we simply don’t have the money anymore. On top of that, I want to move my ships to Seraphim, but now I have to manually fly every single one because this new claiming system was pushed live before there was even a proper ship delivery system in place. Maybe this system would make sense in a stable, functioning game. But right now? Most ship losses are caused by bugs, not gameplay. That’s the part that makes this so frustrating. Instead of encouraging people to use and equip their ships, this change makes players afraid to do so because claiming bugged ships back is now so expensive and inconvenient. The old system wasn’t perfect, but at least it respected the reality of the current state of the game. Right now, ships disappear, explode, fail to spawn, or become unusable constantly because of bugs. Adding harsher insurance mechanics before fixing those core issues feels completely backwards. Please either give players the option to claim ships the old way again, or wait until the game is stable and there’s a proper ship delivery system before forcing this kind of change onto everyone. The timing for this could not have been worse, and in the current state of the game it just feels incredibly frustrating and unnecessary.
