People complain about giving dates that aren't met. People complain about not giving dates. People complain about not keeping a schedule for patches pursuing some level of "feature complete" so CIG switches to a date focused system. Then people complain about things getting bumped. Then they start asking why offer a schedule that they aren't sure they can keep. CIG creates one based on what the devs think can be reasonably accomplished. Now people complain that it doesn't have as many features as in the past......... “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time.” ― John Lydgate And I'd add that there are some sour people this doesn't cover that you can never please no matter what. Is it any wonder why CIG changes community managers every couple of years?
