I used to enjoy jumping in now and again and doing a bit of mining/exploring. But this is just so unenjoyable right now. Here's my list of things that irritate/grate me. - Items randomly disappear through the ground. - Glitching through elevators/planets/caves. - Overly complex controls. - Timesinks, every single thing has become a multi-step process. - Flying is absolutely wrecked, I constantly crash into stuff - Why is cruise control like this now the previous version worked so much better? - My ship refuses to go out of cruise control when I enable it through the ship's screens. - Why all these ALT- bs things, did we really have to move away from the old controls in favor of these? - The whole F innerthough implementation is so much worse than the previous one, this was meant to be an improvement. - It makes me wonder if CIG actually does any play testing with virgin players because this is becoming more horrendous with every patch. - There is no way in hell this game will work on a console in it's current form. I will give a simple example, which is tantamount to insanity to achieve: I tried to do some ROC mining. So the first thing I always do is get off the planet, which takes a solid 45 minutes if nothing goes wrong. Then it's buying all the gear you need, getting the roc out, buying a container. All of these are at different locations/shops, each with its own uniquely janky UI that is broken in a slightly different manner. Most of which are unintuitive. Then go to planet, and I nearly smack into the ground because the flight model/cruise control is now a completely different mess of a series of buttons you have to press. I eventually mine, dolovine. Of which half fall through the bloody floor. Try to unload the ROC. Oh no you have to take 40 gems at a time. Move them from your backpack to the container. Fly back to Everest harbor, try to sell any of the Xmas gifts, random ship weapons I picked up, and the dolovine. Oh no, that's right. You have to move those back to your ship and fly around for another 2 hours to try and sell everything. For like 4 hours later, and I still have not made any money in the game. Running around burning my leg off in summer because all my CPU and GPU is required. Honestly, I can't stand this game any more. Wake me up when it's there perhaps, right now, it's unplayable, and I have better things to do with my time, like chores around the house instead of this.
