The official CIG statement, which accompanied their latest Roadmap Roundup and started all the recent issues on Spectrum, the SC Subreddit, and other sites, has now been up for more than 48 hours. Consequently, if CIG took this matter seriously, they would've by now published a statement at least clarifying their position, perhaps expressing some regret for their dismissive tone, or at least removed the comments many backers found so offensive until they could properly address the matter (i.e. those statements inferring concerned backers were to blame for CIG's repeated failures). Instead, CIG is dealing with what is arguably their worst PR crisis since 2012 by refusing to even acknowledge it exists. This behavior is, unfortunately, typical of CIG's leadership and, IMO, further demonstrates their disrespect for this community . . . the people that actually funded the development of SC and SQ42. I believe this strategy is arrogant, short-sighted, unprofessional, and anti-consumer. It DOES NOT engender trust or confidence in CIG's ability to manage or deliver. However, it DOES go a long way to confirm one perspective: CIG meant every word when they inferred disdain and contempt toward concerned backers. So, after blatantly ignoring the legitimate frustrations expressed by paying customers here and elsewhere for the past 48 hours, I won't be convinced of CIG's regret or contriteness when they eventually come begging me for more funds. Sorry, CIG, but now anyone can clearly discern your likely opinions toward the average people who've been donating their hard-earned cash to pay your salaries for almost 10 years! TL;DR: How a company treats their customers demonstrates the degree to which they value their customers. IMO, CIG no longer values their paying customers, and their recent actions certainly seem to support this perspective.
