Hello As some of you may know there recently was a video that discussed HEX-CODE skins and was asking the question: When will we see them after 5 years of silence? the video raised some interesting points that I (and likely many others) would like to see an answer to. On top of that I have my own thoughts about the subject and would like to share them in this thread. Here the original video by CIG from 5 years ago: Now, we all know that this kinda went nowhere and that paid skins are being sold instead of letting us customize our ship colouring. however I'd like to suggest a way that could Benefit both sides: Sell skin templates and let users then modify the colours on them For example we have the base skin with some basic shapes on it and decals, each shape / area / decal can be changed with the codes. However, to get another variation that has different shape locations / decals etc... we would have to go to buy a different template to use. maybe a template that has a sick flame pattern, now users can change the colour of flames and the background themself. This is btw not something that is new in gaming, as the racing game Wreckfest uses a similar method to give the players a way to customize their liveries. Here the user can select a base template to apply on his car and then change the colours of each template element to his liking: https://youtu.be/Gssh04DBqPU?t=103
