It's been about a year since Master (Disaster) Modes was introduced. At the risk of being labelled the vocal minority, i only have one question. When will the flight model and flight combat become a priority again? We were told it would be iterated on, and to my knowledge there as only been some small tunings here and there. (maybe im wrong about that). It would seem logical to me that in game where space flight is a core gameplay mechanic that maybe getting this system dialed in should be a pretty big priority. I miss the old flight model. (cries in no speed walls) And although i do agree it needed some work, what we have now feels so limited in comparison. Jousting is still a thing (and will always be a thing when two objects are moving at and around each other with high speed in a 6dof environment). Why cant we have an AC mode for stress testing different tunings/iterations etc? That would allow for testing small and big changes quickly. The part of the community that lives is AC would happily test everything and CIG you would be able to get direct feedback quickly. And at the very least would make us feel like some progress is being made. You could make changes weekly for example, small tweaks or big changes and see how the community reacts. I know not everyone cares (and im certain they will let me know in the replies) but what we have now is objectively less fun that what we had before. Def not asking for full nav mode speeds in scm, like i said before i recognize the old model needed to be reined in somewhat. And not to be a debbie downer but Operator Modes does not sound like it will be the answer, though im hopeful it will at least be better. We are flying space ships, it should feel that way and it only feels like we are now partially. At the very least show us you are willing to try something else, you have all these free testers (all of us) happy to give feedback. Please CIG throw us a bone. All of us clearly love this project, the proof of that is in the 800million we've all paid into it... SC has the potential to be the 'best damn space game ever'... which is what we were all promised 12 years ago.
