I'm tired of this argument, honestly. I mostly read it in the many PvE / PvP threads... But just because a game is an MMO doesn’t mean everyone playing it does so because they want constant social interaction. Some people enjoy MMOs because: - They like living worlds that evolve - They enjoy deep progression systems - They want a persistent universe that keeps growing - They appreciate having the option to interact — not the requirement MMO = "Massively Multiplayer Online", not "forced cooperation only". That’s about the scale of the world and shared persistence — not about being glued to a Discord group 24/7 or begging for an escort every time you want to move cargo. The most successful MMOs on the market right now all have one thing in common: They support solo, group, and everything in between. You know what kills a game faster than PvE players leaving? Telling them "you’re playing it wrong. So quit telling people they should go playing a single player game or Sq42. They want to play in the PU but alone. And you know what... This should be ok and doable... And yes — even in places like Wikelo, there should be a viable solo path to acquire resources without forced PvP. Not everyone wants to PvP to progress. Some of us just want to play the game, not gamble hours of effort to some random ganker for the 10th time. Danger doesn’t have to mean zero alternatives. Risk vs. reward doesn’t have to mean risk of deletion.
