From what i see and read the last few years, solo play in solo crew ships, is strongly discouraged by CIG. Yes, discouraged. Less possibilities, very little cargo, no ground vehicles to take with you, small arms, no job ships to upgrade to in the solo department, etc etc. (and no, we dont ask for a solo Javelin, that is ridiculous and exaggerated nonsense) I know, it has been know from the start, that travel times would be a thing in SC. But regardless, SC still is a game, and games should be fun for all. Even for the players in smaller solo crew ships, and there are A LOT of those. I hear the community that flies big multicrew ship say, that big ships need fun gameplay during QT, and that big ships need short travel time and small ships need long travel times. Coarse that is what is convenient . . . . for them, and it is said so by CIG. So, they have shorter travel time and more to do . . . ? But it still is the smallest group of the backers. Solo players are the largest group by far. And those solo crew ship owners will get the most boring part, endless long travel times with no where to go and nothing to do. Indeed, nothing to do, coarse you cant go away from the PC and do something else to stop boredom, you'll be interdicted every so often. Ohhh so fun, getting interdicted by pirates in your Prospector. Heaps of fun. There should be a better balance between the solo crew ships and multicrew ships. When you want to play multicrew gameplay, in big multicrew ships, You already have better weapons, better shields, huge cargo capacity, more to do in general, so there should be a downside. . . . . much longer QT times. Small solo ships should be faster and have short travel times. And much more than that, since the vast majority is solo player, there should be more attention from CIG for those backers. More perks and more good ships to upgrade to. my 2 cents. :slightly_smiling_face: , you can shoot me now, lol Edit: with thanks to @ender_jr this video where CR explains that 20 minutes doing nothing is boring. (minutes 58:20 till 1 :00 :20)
