No, I don't trust Yogi's assessment that MM is a success - not at all. The ONE THING that I used to love about SC, that kept me coming back to 'play' it - despite all the bugs, broken features, time sinks, and tedium - was the old space flight model. It made every outing in the PU an adventure that required practice, deliberate thought, and continuous attention. I even purchsed Gladiator flight sticks, pedals, and a Tobii b/c I enjoyed flying and fighting in SC so much. Not anymore, though. The new MM system, to me, feels . . . just terrible - like a lame arcade flight game. I'm unmotivated to play SC now b/c I find it, frankly, boring and uninteresting. I even defended MM initially, and I questioned the motives of folks like Avenger One and others who predicted MM would end badly. Now I completely agree with them. SC's flight experience has lost its defining feature, the 'feeling' that separated SC from other similar games. Look, I've tried the MM system extensively, both in AC and the PU. For me, MM - more than any other change to SC - has terminated my will to 'play' this tech demo. It's just unfun now. CIG should've tweaked the old FM rather than implement the ham-fisted, non-physical nonsense that is MM. On the plus side though, I'm discovering all the great games available on Steam that I've been missing! That's where all my gaming funds are going now, since CIG doesn't want to keep the players like me around who enjoyed the old flight experience. You do you, CIG. Enjoy your 'success.' You certainly earned it.
