Sliding in general has done nothing positive for tactical/squad based fps and has degraded it into nonsensical, unrealistic movement that we see in modern call of duty games that reduces the skill ceiling and trivialises engagements and positioning. This is not something I want for the game. Starcitizen should remain loyal to it's roots in mil-sim/ tactical shooter movements, not apex/ modern call of duty or halo gameplay. "If" slide is to remain as a planned feature it must be made a lot more punishing and realistic "In terms of physics" to do from the start with the risk of breaking bones and damaging/dropping/loosing equip weapons if they hit or get caught on some terrain with it being unable to be done on all surfaces. Only on flat, low friction surfaces like wet concrete or flat sheet metal should it be possible as to do so on sand should be met with a immediate physics brick wall and server consequence. aka: No sliding on sand or metal piped/grated or industrial flooring "If at all" like we saw on that clip (citcon) Had to say something on this as this is a big Red flag for me for modern FPS. As i've said in a reply....Imagine looking down iron sights, let alone a scope at multiple low skilled players running around with smg's, sliding constantly with desync on their character movement + server lag and trying to enjoy the fight. *It's pretty clear to me at this point and anyone looking in that the community here is again divided on this issue, so one would hope cig's fps team read through the comments and try to find a middle ground that satisfies both mil-sim lovers and your modern players and does not rush to implement it "as it currently is" without running is past all of us first in ac lobbies or some "master mode- star marine mode"
