Talking about time investment, I've heard this said a few times. "Maybe this game's not for you." I have a job and a family, real life concerns that demand my attention. My wife knows I'm passionate about it, she even plans to give it a try herself even though she's really more into the JRPG branch of gaming so even so, I expect to be able to devote a couple hours a day, three or four days a week, to this game. Seems like a reasonable amount to me, for any game really. Yet there are those, both in the game and here on Spectrum, who actively hope for it to take longer than that just to load or unload a cargo ship. They want it to take longer than that to get from A to B, in some cases much longer than that. I have been told, to my face and in perfect seriousness, that if I'm not willing to give the game at least six hours a day, every day, then "maybe this game's not for you", and if I have questions about practicality I'm told that this isn't a game that will respect my time and I need to "understand the game I backed." I'm just curious... If that's the ask, and if the game isn't for me, who's it for? What sort of person can devote that much time to playing a game?
