We are organizing an event for the outlaw community. https://www.docdroid.net/06h8mnf/wargames05.pdf This event is a heavily pvp focused months long campaign, featuring multiple layers of objectives rolled into the overall plan. From building relations and networking outlaw groups, to getting players used to combined ops, to practice runs for large scale planning. Much as the cry astro blockade generated interest, we plan to move the networking effort into a combined operations plan over the course of the next month. Imagine NATO war games, if NATO fired on innocents. Networking groups we believe will be interested, into a massive, months long war against all outside elements. The focus naturally is emergent gameplay, so a coordinated, multi server, total war exercise should be an interesting time for all who elect to participate. Something of a stress test on our end, for things to come. We have set ourselves a timeline of one month to gather participants, and discuss the operation in general terms. Assuming a stable patch by the end of the month, we expect to move forward with said plan and begin a month long exercise of Outlaw related shennanigans on the game servers. It will be dirty, violent, and if done correctly, a hell of a lot of fun. Coordination between groups is entirely up to the groups. This isn't an event that is highly scripted, its an emergent event where we are hosting as part of a general effort to stimulate the outlaw community, and the participating groups will rampage as they desire. Every group can operate independently, as there is no explicit need for teamwork. Most of the logistics of planning this will be getting a vague schedule worked up. Participating groups will coordinate, peer bond, deepen political, and interpersonal ties, and gain experience in decentralized operation. Most organizations discussing the event thus far are interested in this serving as a catalyst for membership to become re-engaged with the game, aid in further networking with others in their field, hone their ability to work together in a sustained campaign of aggression, and ideally, have a good deal of fun doing so. It will not be a mission based event, or with explicit tangible goals, it is an emergent event with content and experiences varying by both the participants, and the people they interact with in the testbed. Naked aggression was chosen given the outlaw focus, and the expected behavior of targets of opportunity. As the largest event of its kind to date within the community impact is not an explicit goal but if cry astro was any indication, people will certainly feel strongly, one way or another. For those of you opposed to Outlaw activities, Bounty hunters, Flotillas, Security Contractors, prepare yourselves for a good time, and an equally target rich environment. If any of this sounds like something of interest to you, feel free to drop us a line for details, and plan to have some fun next month. Good luck, and good hunting.
