There are plenty of games that already let you fly in fleets of 20 battleships with 20 of your friends. How many games allow you to crew one torpedo boat with 20 of your friends? SC is shaping up to be the first game to have viable multicrew spaceship gameplay. So one game has the potential to have a revolutionary, or at least unique, style of gameplay. Yet instead of playing the games that already do the solo player bit, people are clamouring to kill off SC's potential and turn it into one of those games. The most myopic part of that attitude is that SC already has plenty of ships built for solo gameplay. Turning all ships into solo ships literally obsolesces them and forces everyone into a race for the largest ship. It's crazy, because the same people accuse CIG of introducing power creep into these ships when that's exactly what they're asking for in making a Hurricane/Scorpius/Polaris/etc. a solo ship. Say no to noob-cannons, "I win" buttons, and one-click/tap gameplay. Edit: I just want to thank you guys for keeping this thread free of BPA, lead, and other carcinogenics. Y'all are class-acts. Keep it up. Edit2: Since someone, who is very critical of my post and has displayed a propensity to make it personal, has decided to add the rainbow flag to the reactions, I will end my interaction with this thread with this: LGBTQ rights are human rights. Snidely calling someone gay as an insult is despicable. Edit3: Since you guys won't stop the notifications about this thread, I'll highlight some of the best comments. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/people-who-want-automation-mechanics-to-turn-all-s/4636780 Shows the greediness for power that drives the "make all ships solo ships" crowd.
