https://chng.it/xmgRqKJMqw [Quick note in advance: This is a post to show the existence of a petition for players that want to plea towards CIG for a PVE only server as a whole. Also it's a post explaining the importance of both such a server and petition towards one for both players, the community, the health of the project as a whole and for CIG, mostly from my opinion, but with examples where able and from a place of logic and experience. This is not another PvE vs PVP yes, no, yes, no discussion post. There are waaaaaaaaaay more than enough of these posts already, done and to death. I just want Star Citizen to be an experience that rivals the experience of the best game I played in my 43 years as a gamer, and have SC be such an experience for every fan of all the potential genres SC fits in, not just a small portion of those potential gamers, in specific the PvP players.] Hello, my...well, wanted to say fellow Citizens, but I haven't felt like that in a long way. Or even felt positive about this game. Why? Because the one thorn in this game's development: becoming in essence EVE Online 2.0. And I want it instead to be my personal ARK (6000 hours played), World of Warcraft (3000 hours played), Elite:Dangerous (1000 hours played) or No Man's sky (500 hours played). Not an EVE Online, Rust, Sea of Thieves, Star Citizen, Black Desert, etc. which I don't play at all. The difference between these games? While all these games do cater to PvP oriented players, WoW has PvE servers, ARK has Dedicated personal servers, Elite has Mobius (with a 40.000 player count) and NMS also has a PVE only experience. Eve Online, Black desert, Sea of Thieves (finally a Safe Seas option, but waaaaay tooo late) and.....Star Citizen only have PvP servers. PvPvE is a pipedream. There is no PvPvE. For 7 years I stopped playing the PU, putting money in this game, putting time in this game, putting feedback in this game. I really want to. I REALLY do. But there is no reason to do all these things. Because CIG is being stubborn and the PvP community is being childish with them. But if I stopped supporting the game in every way just because of this specific issue (while there are enough examples in the gaming industries that show that a PvE experience next to the official PvP experience only brings more people into the game and makes it more succesful), many others might also feel and have acted that way. Thus I have put up a petition via Change to see if such a group exist and how big that group then might be. My hope is that the outcome of this petition is significant enough that it will make CIG think anew about setting up a PvE oriented Star Citizen experience, even if it is not as fluid and interactive as the official PvP experience would be. That the voices behind the petition will be so strong it will overwhelm the naysayers and CIG will make a decision that will bring those that have a great love for Star Citizen and spacegames in general (back) into the community and make the experience that is Star Citizen even stronger and longer lasting into the future. This is my way to test and bring feedback to the developers of this game to the betterment of it.
