A player in a Super Hornet is going to be far better protection than a player in your turret. Look at the Avro Lancaster bomber of WWII, If every bomber could have had 4 Spitfires for escort instead of 4 turret gunners they would be far better protected. Of course in the real world that was not possible due to the resource cost of manufacturing so many fighters or training enough pilots. But these contraints will not exist in game. When under fighter escort bombers losses to interceptors were a fraction of what they while unescorted. Indeed later in the war they were looking at removing the turrets all together. They felt this would increase speed by 50mph and would be a far better defence and reduce crew deaths from fighters. Especially as fighters had the range to stay with the bombers later in the war. I am not saying that this is the end of the world, but pointing out that to make turrets as effective as escorts will not be possible in the game. A Connie is really never going to be able to defend itself against 3 Hornets as was once stated.
