In my experiences prison has done absolutely nothing to enhance the sc gameplay experience and in fact gives you even more reasons to play less. I acknowledge my bias as someone who enjoys outlaw gameplay and i don't believe crimes in sc should be without consequences, but forcing someone to spend a full work shift of irl time in prison if they indulge in such behavior is ludicrous. If that section of the game was a little more fleshed out it wouldn't be so bad, but it just had to be pushed out before it was ready, buggy and even if you go the legit route of reducing your sentence it still takes you half an hour or more just to find a single rock and maybe save yourself 20 min. i have even had experiences where i try to leave after my reduced sentence was up and it plopped me right back in with extra time for "escaping" this system has had 1 and only 1 effect on me: "well i'm in prison, guess i'm done playing for the rest of one of my few nights off of work." Never once have i enjoyed a single moment of prison, even the escape attempt is infuriatingly difficult because of the inconsistency of low gravity platforming and timing of the jumps being almost random as to if you jump or not. All of that being said i don't think prison is an inherently bad idea, it's just how it was rolled out literally the only thing it makes me want to do as soon as i get there is quit playing the game, and that to me screams something that shouldn't even be in the game until i can stand sticking around in prison. I was originally looking forward to prison gameplay, earning favor, doing missions for inmates or guards, maybe have some fist fights, but what we have been delivered did nothing but make you sit there and think about what you've done and smack you on the head if you even think about getting out of there any sooner than the several hours it assigns you. TLDR: Please don't put things in game that make me not want to play in the little time i have, that's all i ask...
