We were willing to negotiate a ransom of 3k aUEC to give this trader's ship back to them. Based on the trading data on Gallog.co they lost a potential 63k aUEC (sell price minus the 3k taken out that we were going to charge them) and all we gained was a measly 600 aUEC from the subsequent destruction. It would behoove all traders to wait a 10 - 15 minutes on the server, you may just find that the captors may contact you or consider asking in chat if the captor of their ship would be willing to negotiate a ransom. ps Yes, I'm aware I read the quantity wrong in the video and bugs are a possibility, but this is going to become more frequent, better to rip the bandaid off and get this to work for us all :wink:
