There have been conversations, ad nauseum, about the benefits and detractions of PVP in Star Citizen, whether it should be allowed, and the sadists that love to grief other players. CIG developers absolutely and clearly support allowing griefing and PVP, to a great degree; it's designed into the space and the FPS game. However, no official unequivocal design position has ever been pushed and maintained in a uniform manner across the entire company on the subject of the future of forced PVP. Not really. However, now and then, bits and pieces of information have been put forth by @croberts68 that clearly state his marketed vision. This was the case back in August of 2018, and has been pretty much ignored in the forums that love griefing other players, since. @croberts68 clearly stated that PVP is not intended to be allowed to be forced on other players. Chris Roberts understands that it is NOT fun to everyone and that it WILL lose CIG money. Those sadists who love to grief other players, are NOT intended to be the future direction of Star Citizen. Someone seams to have forgotten to tell the rest of the development team that news, though. Because thus far, there's no effective mechanic to prevent rewarding the sadists with a victim.
