I hate to have to make this thread, and I'm sure those who need to hear this don't care and will not read it, and that some people may disagree, but I'm getting pretty sick of randomly getting attacked and killed while trading. This is not pirating. Pirates don't just randomly blow shit up. That's terrorism, and in a game like this I would argue it's griefing. If you gain nothing tangible from the activity and totally incovenience someone else, I don't know what else to call it. I do hope that the trading app will make people more inclined to try to extort people rather than kill them, but I do not have much hope for that. If you want to kill people, try someone that will actually be able to fight back. If someone has escorts, sure, feel free to engage them. Not only will it be more interesting for you, but the person you're fighting will likely be happy to engage. But after you beat the escorts, you should then try to disable and board the ship, rather than just blowing it up. Blowing up trading ships is like robbing a bank and then lighting the money on fire. It makes no senese. I do get that there needs to be risks, but in a quite heavily guarded system like stanton, it's quite ridiculous to have to worry about randomly getting blown up while trading. Pirated is one thing, but full on terrorism like this is just absurd. Hopefully the security of the system will be a bit beefed up once they add in pyro, so anyone who does this kind of shit is then chased by security almost immediately. Until then, I suggest anyone who does trading hire some escorts, because it's a dangerous system out there apparently.
