(Not my video) There is now a dropship from a hyper casual scifi game in a mainstream flight simulator with a detailed cockpit, MFDs with realistic displays and precise clickable buttons. That means if even HALO goes mainstream flight sim with 1 minuet start up procedures, then there is no argument for SC to avoid it. Above you can see a video of a start up procedure of a HALO dropship in flight simulator 2020. Which shows that detailed startup procedures like in DCS are popular among players. Also consider how the buttons have very precise click areas that matches the geometry of the button. They do not have that stupid inner thought thing filtering what you want to press. And lastly, notice how almost everything in the cockpit is on an MFD, virtually no magical HUD. And the buttons on the labels have an easy to read font For contrast in the starlifter: Notice the inner thought prefiltering what I want to click, removing the tactile illusion of pressing a button. Very hard to read font, because the devs use chunky "scifi" fonts instead of readable real life fonts. The issue with inner thought appears to be that it wants to treat the player like a child who can not handle pressing a precise button so the game abstracts the click area into a much larger area. That ruins the feeling of pressing buttons. Tiny buttons that as a player I want to zoom in and learn their function.
