The Regen Crisis deepens, and the race is on! With the imprint technology failing, Imperator Addison has lifted long-standing restrictions on scientific research in a desperate bid to accelerate a solution. The result? A surge in demand for critical resources, fueling fierce competition between Stanton's four megacorporations as they scramble to supply materials, secure logistics, and win a monumental UEE research contract. The corps can't do it alone. As seen in the latest Inside Star Citizen, this effort runs on grit—and that starts with folks like you. Pledge your support, join the push, and leave a legacy in the 'verse. The race is on, and there's a role for everyone. Check out the FAQ below to see how you can help and what you need to know. FAQ ▲ What is Resource Drive? ► Resource Drive is a limited-time, global event and the next chapter in the Regen Crisis storyline, where players align with one of four major Stanton corporations to gather resources, complete missions, and compete for a critical UEE research contract. ▲ How long does the event last? ► The event lasts until the next patch releases, and the top-performing corp (based on global cross-server player contribution) will be announced. ► UPDATE: Resource Drive has been extended a few more weeks into 4.3.0! This gives you extra time to jump in and enjoy the event alongside the fixes we’ve rolled out in 4.2.1, with more improvements coming in 4.3.0. Thanks for all your feedback and for flagging issues on the Issue Council. ▲ Which corporations are participating in Resource Drive? ► Hurston Dynamics, ArcCorp, Crusader Industries, and microTech. Each corp will assign a variety of contracts aimed at the harvesting, delivery, or defense of precious resources crucial to the necessary research. ▲ Will my choice to support a particular corp have a lasting impact on the 'verse? ► Yes! The winning corp will have a jump point renamed in their honor (applied in a later patch) and reduced item prices in all shops at their affiliated landing zone, orbiting space station(s), and gateway station. ▲ Do I have to pick just one corp? ► No. You're free to complete contracts from any corp, but consistently supporting one may help you secure your tier rewards quicker and ensure your chosen corp gets ahead in the race! ▲ Do I need any specific ships or gear to participate? ► Not necessarily. The event features a variety of contract types to support the different core gameplay loops Star Citizen offers. That said, using a specialized ship (like a mining ship, hauler, or fighter) can make completing certain contracts easier and more efficient. Be sure to check your mobiGlas contract descriptions carefully; they often include details about required tools and locations to help you prepare for success. ▲ Are there PvP elements in this event? ► The event is not a PvP event and features exclusively PvE missions. But the 'verse can be a dangerous place, and even the most upstanding citizens aren't immune to the opportunistic strikes of criminals, so don't let your guard down. ▲ Is this a solo or multiplayer event? ► Both! All contracts are open to solo players, but some may be faster to complete with a team. Please note that the Intro contracts aren't shareable. ▲ What can I earn by participating? ► Completing contracts contributes toward unlocking exclusive rewards in the corresponding corporation branding: Tier 1 - Falston Jumpsuit & Hat + Pyro RYT Multi-Tool Tier 2 - Strata Armor & Backpack + the ALL-NEW Pulse Laser Pistol Tier 3 - RSI Aurora, Crusader C1 Spirit & RSI Zeus Paints + Prism Laser Shotgun Tier 4 - ARGO Raft, MISC Freelancer & RSI Constellation Paints + Quartz Energy SMG Tier 5 - MISC Starlancer, Drake Caterpillar & Crusader Hercules Starlifter Paints + Parallax Energy Assault Rifle Plus, if you reach Tier 5 standing and your corp comes out on top, you'll earn an exclusive bonus reward! For a look at all the rewards, check out the individual corp pages: Hurston Dynamics, ArcCorp, Crusader Industries, and microTech. ▲ How do I track my progress? ► Your progress is recorded in the Resource Drive Journal tab within the mobiGlas app. There, you can view your personal contributions, milestone progress, your chosen corp's standing, and which corp is currently in the lead—along with how much they’re ahead by. ▲ Can I still earn the tier rewards if I join late? ► Yes. Progress is personal and cumulative. If you participate actively before the event ends, you can still unlock rewards tied to the milestones. ▲ Are rewards permanent? ► Yes. Once unlocked, all earned rewards are permanently attributed to your account and can be viewed in the My Hangar section of the website. ▲ Can I earn all corp-branded rewards if I play enough? ► Rewards are earned through corp milestones, so you’ll need to complete contracts aligned with each corp to progress toward their rewards. If you play enough, you might just be able to unlock all tier rewards across all corps, except for the exclusive bonus reward reserved for those who reach Tier 5 standing with the winning corp. ▲ How do I get started? ► Open the Contract Manager on your mobiGlas and navigate to the four corporation tabs labeled "Resource Drive – Crusader," "Resource Drive – ArcCorp," "Resource Drive – Hurston," or "Resource Drive – microTech." Pick one to support, complete the Intro contract, and then start accepting contracts focused on delivering precious resources vital for ongoing research in the Regen Crisis. ▲ What types of contracts can I do? ► The event includes a range of contract types provided by all four corporations: Resource Gathering – Collect, mine, or secure essential resources, legally or otherwise. Hauling – Transport refined materials to drop-off points. Cargo Recovery – Retrieve stolen cargo (FPS / Ship Combat). Defend Ships – Protect vulnerable supply ships from coordinated pirate attacks. ▲ Can I just buy the event resources from shops? ► No. As part of the event's storyline, these corporations are hoarding all available supplies of copper, tungsten, and corundum. Because of this, commodity terminals won't have any in stock during the event. The only way to acquire these resources is by mining, stealing, or earning them through the contracts outlined. ▲ Is there a type of contract I should focus on? ► Not specifically; just focus on what you enjoy. Whether you're retrieving cargo, defending supply ships, or running logistics, it all supports your chosen corp. Contribute in whatever way you can or want to. ▲ Can I switch between contract types freely? ► Absolutely! You're free to mix it up based on your playstyle, ship loadout, or whatever you're in the mood for. ▲ Are contracts unique to each corp? ► Yes. While contracts typically share the same mission archetypes, each corp offers its own version with unique narrative details. ▲ Are the contracts shareable? ► Resource Gathering contracts are specifically solo, but most other contracts should be shareable. Check your mobiGlas and look for the “Share” button; if it's there, the contract can be shared. ▲ What happens if I disconnect mid-contract? ► Contract progress isn't saved, so it’s best to complete your objectives before logging out or switching servers. If you're running a Hauling contract and disconnect, the mission will be cancelled when you reconnect. But if the commodities are still in your ship, you can accept a Resource Gathering contract to turn them in and continue contributing to the event. ▲ If I fail a contract, does it impact my corp's standing? ► Failed contracts don't reduce corp score, but will not contribute to your personal progress or the corp's performance tally. ▲ Is there anything else I should know about the event contracts? ► Yes, receiving a CrimeStat of 3 or higher will immediately void all event contracts. --- If you have any further questions, let us know.
