Hello everyone! Every two weeks, we accompany the Roadmap update with a brief explanatory note to give you insight into the decision-making that led to any changes. This is part of an effort to make our communications more transparent, more specific, and more insightful for all of you who help to make Star Citizen and Squadron 42 possible. Just a reminder: The 1.0 column showcases features and content planned for inclusion in or before Star Citizen 1.0. This means you may not have to wait for the 1.0 release to experience them. As features/content in the 1.0 column become ready, they will migrate left into a point patch column for release. Be sure to check back every two weeks for the latest updates. With that, let’s dive into this week’s Roadmap Roundup! -CIG Community Team Alpha 4.10 RSI Discovery Month Event Implementing RSI Discovery Month, a limited-time event celebrating the legacy and future of the Constellation, with special RSI installations across Stanton and a variety of Defense, Transport, and Collection missions for players to tackle their way. :scroll: This card has been added and set to Released. RSI Skylark Implementing the RSI Skylark, a snub fighter nestled within the Constellation’s reimagined hull. :scroll: This card has been added and set to Released. Alpha 4.11 DGS Planet Subdivision Implementing a tech that allows us to subdivide planets and moons into smaller territories, so a single Dynamic Game Server (DGS) is never responsible for an entire body. Territory boundaries are generated from spatial clustering of seeded entities scattered by Genesis, and dynamically assigned to available DGSs, improving load distribution and paving the way for finer‑grained server meshing at planetary scale. Nyx 1 will be the first planet to use this tech. :scroll: This card has been added and set to Tentative. Nyx I Nyx I is a coreless planet that orbits closest to the sun in the Nyx system. Once considered impossible to terraform, Nyx I has undergone a drastic transformation thanks to new experimental technology developed by Genesis Terraforming and now features a robust ecosphere capable of supporting a wide diversity of life. :scroll: This card has been updated with a new image. Nyx II With high temperatures and a high-pressure atmosphere dense with thick clouds, Nyx II is an inhospitable planet where protective gear is recommended. While some resources dot the surface, the risk involved in harvesting them has left the planet almost void of commercial development. :scroll: This card has been updated with a new image. Nyx III Nyx III is an ice giant that lacks a breathable atmosphere and is considered a difficult candidate for expansive commercial resource extraction. :scroll: This card has been updated with a new image.
