Unfortunately, I have to say that phase 3 of the Save Stanton event shows very clearly the poor state of combat in SC. With the latest changes to the MFDs, CIG has made combat in SC even worse than it already was with MM. Now you can't even tell who is friend and who is foe, as you don't see any names in the MFDs. In addition, the decision to remove the distance to the target in the MFDs was a very stupid decision that means you don't even know how far away a locked target is. With the latest changes, CIG has managed to take all the fun out of space combat in SC. You hardly move anymore and now with the new MFDs you can't even read information that is important for the fight. Like whether you are shooting at a friendly target. HUDs are so poorly implemented that most of the time they are hard to read or information such as the amount of fuel in combat is completely missing. Space combat in SC used to be so much fun, but what CIG has made of it is just a bad joke. Group battles are difficult to coordinate due to the lack of ship types and names in the displays. This and the standard selection of MFDs for ships shows me that CIG unfortunately doesn't seem to know what they're doing. Or even worse, they think what they've done would improve the game, but in reality they're ruining it. I'll give you a tip: play your game like real players, then you might notice what you've ruined over the last few years. But no, we get statements like this from those responsible for combat that they're not interested in the current status. What have you done to SC? Simply disappointing. Situational awareness is the key word that you should have given the player. However, your changes to the MFDs lead to exactly the opposite and hardly allow the player to read any information about the situation he is in. Not a good job.
