I have no interest in being cannon fodder for people who just like killing other players as a sport, it seems they have listened to the PVP'ers and made it so that you cannot switch in to nav mode after being interdicted, all you can do is sit and wait to be killed, you have no chance against 3, 4 or 5 cutlasses. They are not interdicting you to pillage your cargo, or a 'you may pass' fee, they are doing it just to kill players. Get good, bring 8 friends..... all that yes i know, play the game under my rules. Here is the thing, i don't want to, i don't want this game to be PVP focused and as the saying goes if you don't like it don't play it, sure, what if the majority feel the same way? A, PVP'ers have no seals to club if only they are playing it and B, this is a dead game. Pyro is a lawless system, you expect that if you go there, so don't go there, but if you're going to design the whole game to force everyone in to PVP then that is what you have. I hope with these changes to not being able to switch to nav mode after being interdicted doesn't change the nature of the game, i really do because i don't play games that i don't like, its as simple as that, i'm certainly not spending any more money on it. These people say they enjoy PVP and you should just get good, and yet this is not PVP, they are simply looking for people who are going about their business to kill, that's all it is, its seal clubbing. Edit: added later, credit to @WhiskeyTango-Foxtrot The game will certainly be fashioned in a way that if you don't want to engage in a player vs. player competition, you don't have to! The problem with PvP is, there is always a winner and a loser and both these people are players that have paid money for the game. If you always have competing people vs. people then there will always be winners and losers and so if you're not that great or don't have to time to practice up it will always be a suck experience any time you play. Star Citizen will give you opportunities to do all kind of stuff on both a PvE or PvP basis and there will be areas where there can be a crossover between these two but it's up to you whatever you're gonna do. --Chris Roberts If when quantum snared, you have no way to escape because you are limited to SCM speed then you absolutely are being forced in to PVP, the option to escape has been taken away from you, which is what seal clubbers want, they are just looking for victims. They have complained that people being able to escape is a problem for them, of course it is, think about it. By the same token, this suggests that CIG do not believe an escape option is valid gameplay. Also, so far as PVP gaming goes this is not like CoD where the best option is a simple Keyboard and Mouse, you have a significant PVP advantage in this game if you have an expensive HOTAS setup vs someone with a Keyboard and Mouse, so there is a clear advantage to those who can afford specialised peripherals vs those who can't.
